Appointment Center

    • Responds to incoming calls and schedules, reschedules, confirms and cancels patient appointments.
    • Answers multiple phone lines, determines purpose of call and directs call to appropriate person or location.
    • Talks with patient to ascertain reason for the office visit, registers new patient information including demographics, medical information including symptoms, examinations, test results and diagnoses, PCP and /or all other referring physicians information and obtains patient insurance information
    • Determines patient need for referral and coordinates appropriately
    • Mails registration packet of information to all new patients or patients whose demographics or insurance information has changed

Minimum Qualifications

        • Highly effective interpersonal, verbal and organizational skills
        • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
        • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, medical test, and procedures pertinent to diagnosis.
        • High school diploma or GED
        • 1-2 years office work experience

 

Front Desk

    • Greets patients in a prompt, courteous and professional manner
    • Checks patient into computer system and ensures all appropriate registrations forms and demographics and insurance information are complete, accurate and signed accordingly
    • Assists patient to complete various forms as needed
    • Collects all necessary co-pays, past due balances and issue receipts for same
    • Ensures referrals were received
    • Ensures that patients without appointments but who need ‘urgent consultation’ are seen in a logical and non-disruptive manner
    • Monitors provider schedules and patient flow
    • Notifies and communicates with medical assistant, vascular lab technicians of patient arrival to minimize patient waiting time
    • Checks out patients and schedules any necessary future appointments
    • Completes “End of Day” and accounts for all kept and no-show patients

 Minimum Qualifications

        • Highly effective interpersonal, verbal and organizational skills
        • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
        • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, medical test, and procedures pertinent to diagnosis.
        • High school diploma
        • 1-2 years office work experience

 

Surgery Scheduler

    • Coordinates multiple surgeons’ operating room, clinic and meeting times
    • Answers multiple phone lines and deciphers incoming calls from physicians, medical facilities, and referring physician offices
    • Greets patients in a prompt, courteous and professional manner
    • Meets with patients to set a surgery date; coordinates pre-operative testing and instructions
    • Posts surgical cases to hospital operating room schedule
    • Coordinates in-hospital consultations and direct admissions

 Minimum Qualifications

        • Highly effective interpersonal, verbal and organizational skills
        • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
        • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, medical test, and procedures pertinent to diagnosis.
        • Proficient computer skills
        • High school diploma or GED
        • 1-2 years office work experience
